We recently (December 2020) hopped on the Premier Pro bandwagon, shelling out for the higher end subscription based software – in spite of our utter disdain for subscriptions. So guess how surprised we were to run into this error trying to install it? Just mere seconds after paying for it.
As it turns out, we assumed the installer would install only Premiere Pro (which we bought by itself) onto our system. There was another option to install Creative Cloud, which we thought had nothing to do with Premiere Pro, or perhaps was a cloud based version of Premiere.
Not true.
Creative Cloud is the launchpad and installation hub for the Adobe suite including Premiere Pro. Installing that first, then installing Premiere from within it is the way to get things going.
In which case, we have no idea why Adobe bothered with the Premiere Pro installer. It just confused the crap out of us.
Also, Googling Error 405 did not help, it appears nowhere. 👎
